Assisted in multiple phases of complex international pharmaceutical intellectual property litigation involving novel chemical compound with sales over one billion dollars a year. Duties included, but are not limited to, analysis and evaluation of internal communications for relevancy and privilege, drafted of privilege log, summarized of Japanese patents, communications, and research reports, researched Japanese law and drafted memo on Japanese privilege law, researched patents and orange book entries, and undertook an extensive compliance review to determine whether violations of Canadian, European Community, or United States Laws were inadvertently violated.  Also examined internal Japanese documents from clients for employment discrimination and for anti-trust violations.

Performed World War II research at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland, the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, and at the national Security Archives at George Washington University.  Collected information regarding involuntary human experimentation that was performed by both Nazi and Japanese physicians during World War II for a forthcoming publication that examines the Nuremberg and Tokyo War Crimes Tribunals.
